I am a follower of Christ who writes because silence would feel like disobedience. When truth stirs the heart, it demands words. Not perfect words, but honest ones. My hope is that what I write may awaken in others the same wonder that has awakened in me.

The name Markwell comes from a simple command in Scripture: “Mark well.” (Ezekiel 44:5) It means, Pay close attention. That is what I try to do: to look closely at the things of God until their meaning becomes clear, and to help others see what might otherwise be missed.

I live in the Philippines, but I believe truth knows no borders. The Gospel speaks in every tongue and shines in every place where hearts will listen. I only wish to add my small voice to its great chorus. That through what is written here, some light may fall upon another’s path, as it once fell upon mine.
